The activities in these STAAR prep resources (Grades 3-8) are designed to represent the variety of ways that STAAR has assessed (or could assess) key concepts in each grade level. Students will improve numeracy skills through an assortment of learning opportunities that encourage higher levels of thinking and reasoning – all necessary for success on STAAR assessments.

Students are exposed to a variety of item types/problems, including multiple choice and non-multiple-choice. While not identical to interacting with these items electronically, these resources build on the thinking and reasoning skills necessary to be successful on STAAR assessments.
